Gardner is a former teacher, counselor, and administrator for the Detroit
Public School system. Mr. Gardner earned his Bachelor of Science Degree
in Special Education and his Master of Education Degree in Guidance and
Counseling from Wayne State University. He has certifications in teaching,
guidance and counseling as well as educational administration from the State
of Michigan. He has received numerous awards and recognitions during his career including an Outstanding Educators’ Award from the Booker T. Washington Business Association, Outstanding Leadership Award from various elementary schools throughout the system as well as the 4-H Clubs of America, and the Boy Scouts of America. Mr.
Gardner has been affiliated with the Wayne County Reading Council and
the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. Other leadership
responsibilities include his membership in the American Federation of
Schools Administrators, and the Detroit Organization of School Administrators
and Supervisors |
